What we collect

• Account details: your email and password (stored securely).
• Profile details: name, optional age, gender, city, union status, physical details, skills, special training and bio.
• Media: headshots, videos, slate shots, self-tapes and reels you upload.
• Messages and notes you send on Castline.
• For agents: the client information you add.
• Payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not store your card number.
• Basic technical data, such as logs, to keep the service running and secure.

How we use it

To run Castline, match actors to breakdowns, send casting alerts (you can turn these off in your profile), keep people safe, review reports, answer support requests and meet legal duties. We do not sell your personal information.

Who sees what

• Productions see your profile and media only after you submit. You choose whether to send your entire profile or only selected headshots.
• Your email is never shown to productions or other users.
• Your age is hidden unless you choose to show it. We use it privately to match you to roles.
• Messages are visible to the people in the conversation. We may review them if someone reports a problem.
• Sides are released only to actors selected to audition.

Companies that help us run Castline

We use service providers for hosting, database and file storage, email, payments and video. They may process your information only to provide their service to us.

Minors

Castline is for people 18 and older. A minor may have a profile only through an account managed by a parent or legal guardian, who gives permission for the information and for any communication. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will remove it. Productions may not contact minors directly.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while your account is active. When a casting closes, submissions stay on that production's breakdown for its records. You can ask us to delete your account and information by emailing us. Some information may be kept where the law requires it.

Security

We use access controls and private file storage to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your profile at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information. Email us to make a request.
